Creepy Bad Endings # 112
Bad endings. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. Just when the hero(es) thought everything was finally right, just when it looked like peace had finally returned to the world, something happens that, at best, creates a bittersweet victory and, at worst, spoils everything and the enemies win, despite everything that happened throughout your adventure. Bad endings don't give you any second chances, you screwed things up for everyone and you must pay dearly...

Leave My Eyes Alone 8! Dreadful Graphics And Visuals
Переглядів 11 тис.14 днів тому
WARNING: This video may cause seizures. Many times, I hear people say that graphics don't matter and that only gameplay counts towards making a game great. I disagree with this. There are some games out there with such graphical problems, it can seriously spoil the experience. Today, I'm taking a look at the games that will test the faith of even the most devout "gameplay whores". Wow, never th...
The Worst Mario Level Of All Time? - Worst Levels Ever # 47

Unfortunately, although there are lots of fantastic levels and stages in video games, there are also a fair few awful ones. Mario has been the king of platformers for as long as we can all remember, deciding upon the absolute worst (official) Mario level from the large collection of 2D Mario platformers is a very difficult task when the quality is as consistently high as it is. Opinions may var...

The seventieth-first episode of Boss Analysis. In a previous episode, I covered a number of bosses I consider scary for various reasons, titled "Bosses I Fear". I've decided this would make for a fine sub-series in a similar vein to Bosses I Hate... Today's featured boss comes from the never-ending waterfall of misery, Alundra on the original Sony Playstation... Bosses are naturally scary and i...

More of my video game pet peeves. They don't exactly spoil my overall enjoyment of the games they appear in, but man... to deny they get on my last nerve would make me a liar. There's no such thing as a perfect video game. It doesn't matter how critically acclaimed one might be, you're bound to find fault with it somewhere. Some of the problems games face can outright ruin them, and they rightl...

The seventieth episode of Boss Analysis. Shinobi III is the awesome sequel to the classic Revenge of Shinobi on the Genesis or Mega Drive. Back in episode 33, I fought each of the bosses of Revenge of Shinobi under the most difficult circumstances, and now it's the sequel turn to get the same treatment and further my ninja training. Rather than giving into weaknesses and accepting all the help ...
Don't Leave My Ears Alone # 4! Fantastic Music And Sound Effects

It's all too easy to present myself as a negative person, I find it much easier (and more fun) to talk about the things I dislike than the things I love. It comes with the territory when you're English. But the truth is, even though I've made nine Leave My Ears Alone! videos where I point out the video game sound effects and songs that were horrible or plain annoying to my ear drums, there are ...

Now, I'm what you'd call a Video Game Music nut, I probably spent more time listening to VG Music than anything else on UA-cam. But other the years, I've encountered many sound effects and songs that nearly made me lose my hearing. Grab your earplugs, and keep your pointer over that volume control, because once again, I'm covering even more of the most obnoxious and downright irritating assault...

This series is all about video game characters who have left me in awe at their stupidity, whether it's a total lack of awareness of their surroundings, terrible pathfinding, the ability to harm themselves more than their enemies, etc. The only characters that cannot be included are playable characters during gameplay, (Cutscenes are a different story) as their level of intelligence is dependan...

Unfortunately, although there are lots of fantastic levels and stages in video games, there are also a fair few awful ones. Since their inception in 1997 with PaRappa the Rappa, (At least I THINK that's the first one) I've had a somewhat turbulent relationship towards the rhythm action genre. The sixty-eighth episode of Boss Analysis is yet another video about boss short-cuts. Boss Short-cuts are what I called any special strategies that can instantly or almost-instantly kill a boss, or any strategies that make the boss incredibly easy. Some are intentional, some aren't, but in any case, they're always amazing to discover. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: 0:23 Legend of Zelda: The ...

I'm glad someone addressed this with ned Flanders on Simpsons wrestling
i feel like if whoisthisgit didn't shy away from the serious approch they were going for in the first five zones, i would have to say launch base zone represents… ‘hope'. think about it. sonic is now at robotnik's base where he is about to launch the death egg into orbit once more, and he would possibly ponder to himself that he would defeat dr robotnik once more to avenge his fallen friend. and after all the hell he put up with when destroying big arms, he would finally rest easy, knowing that he finally gave robotnik the payback he deserved, which earns its definition of hope. (there may be some plotholes, but i'm sure you can fill in your own blanks.)
I don't know why people dislike the munch's oddysee pretty much, because this game got the best creppy ending.
I want to see your reaction to Bugsnax and all the endings in that game.
I loveddd this game and the dark vibes it had. , soundtrack 10/10
Brendan: Day 500, the NPCs think I'm one of them.
It's been 10 years since Dawn got trapped on the island.
When it comes to "creepy time limits" in the game, I would say that the stage that comes right after, i.e. the last of from chapter 4 is the worst. And in my opinion it is the worst stage in the game, actually. It's the only one that imposes a turn limit on us. We have to rescue Kira from certain death in no more than 8 turns, while at the same time we have to face a bunch of nasty fliers and mages on a very uneven terrain. If you have just one bowman (not yet promoted to sniper class), it is very difficult. But you need two air units in order to destroy the death machines quickly enough as they have the best movement range. It sucks that you can either have a bowman or a hawknight and it ironically sucks that Kira, a bow unit, is not playable until we rescue her. She would be a great help in this particular stage instead of being a damsel in distress.
man, I played that game so much and loved the rumble pak too. If you would get medal’s on every stage/also as high as score as possible, at the end when the Commander talks about the bill, if it’s high enough, he just says “whaaaat?!!!” hahaha
"No ground, but the whole level is underwater so no big deal" See, I always found that really unsettling as a kid. I don't know why but the thought that there was an entire huge body of water underneath the level with something living down there always terrified me.
In loving memory of the 2 Steves that died with a Dalek. (Cannon Fodder is a weird game 🤭)
NOT THE BEEZ
Puggsy is just a creepy game in general, imo. Something about the style of shading makes everything seem slightly sinister.
For me, the creepiest part of Super Mario Brothers 3 was the Spiral Tower from World 5 but it's way scarier in the original NES version. There's one room just before you enter the final outside area that is just a dark room with nothing in it except two burned out light globes. It's actually kind of peaceful and serene but also weirdly ominous, especially considering the background of that area is noticeably darker than the area before it. It's almost like a little haunted attic.
I've never played this game but I love the ambience of it. It definitely does a better job of nailing the horror element better than the other Metroid games.
I just realized that the music from River Twygz is one of the layers of audio that Woolie used when making the Shitstorm of Scariness 2 intro music.
I like the way the Metal Mario Brothers enter the fighting zone like Fat Man and Little Boy.
Personally, I find the the Ecco 2 ending interesting ---an ending so ambiguous. How many kids games would forego the happy ending/doing what the hero was told---and instead going for the main character just kinda peacing out, seemingly.
OK, WHO LET A GIANT CACTAUR AS AN OBJECT IN KINGDOM HEARTS 3?!? (Yes, in the toy story world, you can build a giant/jumbo cactaur.)
Yay! Re-uploaded!
bowser just sending a kidnapping notification letter starting with "Yo!" and ending with "Ha ha ha!" has got to be the most Bowser thing I've ever read lmao
This is why fan games are made, when the devs give their characters these cliffhanger endings. This is one of those games where as a kid, I would have been surprised to play as something other than a humanoid character.
I might be wrong, but the way I interpret some of the epilogue crawl is that Ecco goes off on a one-way trip to the past to stop the Vortex Queen since he destroyed the time machine (I think). And knowing that Ecco does it for the greater good at the cost of his chance to live peacefully with his pod is probably the sad part to me. Plus, it doesn't really feel like a win - it's more like knowing the horrible truth to something you thought was true in another way. Unrelated note, glad to see you still trucking Git.
Would Moon Lord from Terraria count as one of these? The world must know
The ocean sure can be a scary place. As if evil sea witches and talking moray eels weren't bad enough, we have to keep an out for deep sea creatures that are really space aliens plotting to destroy the world. Man!
Distorted Travesty 3's beginning section starts you off with absolutely no movement. You slowly get everything back throughout the intro, finally culminating in your jump. The area design prior to having the jump is super clever and fun. It's a metroidvania game, you'll absolutely love it.
You're not worthy of beating this game alone and having no friends...
Juste became a plumber and founded the dynasty that would eventually lead to Mario.
Whoopi dooby Doo yeah I know you hate undertale if you play Deltarune then you actually have a heart you have nothing you are a mean person you have no soul if you seen a otter you're probably going to kick him in the face dumbass
In English?
I had the exact same feeling with the ending being such a downer, and thought I'd done something wrong when I failed to destroy the time machine with the sonar blast. I always wondered if I should have empowered it with a charge thrust first, or just nose butted it into oblivion, but I could never bring myself to face those levels again. The Vortex Larva in particular creeped me out way too much to go back.
Fleas: "lets steal this guy's flag" Plok: "So you have chosen G E N O C I D E" Fleas: "WAIT NO"
Great vid
In my opinion, a talus from LoZ: BotW or TotK counts, as it's main attacks are using it's arms. 1: Swing from left to right, or vice versa. 2: swing from top to bottom. 3: LITERALLY THROWS AN ARM AT YOU. The ONLY times in which this doesn't apply is when 1: It throws you into the air. 2: when it tries to crush you while it has no arms.
You'll love Terraria’s Expert mode, especially after playing a bit in Normal mode and seeing what the bosses are like there.
I got scared when i saw vib only to find out you just play the awful songs from the leave my ears alone! series
Wonderful job at keeping the atmosphere within the video itself! The no text for the entire ending sequence was a great creeepy touch. (Also, I was expecting it to be a bad ending involving the secret password because I didn't know how the password system worked, so I was surprised too)
That's just eerie
This dancing game was the bane of my existence. I failed so many times I wanted to scream and cuss.
The Goron dancing game made me rage like never before. Worst part of a Zelda game ever.
You're not the only one man, my thalassophobia came from this game and its goddamn ending...
If this got a remake announced for it, I would buy it in a heartbeat! This was my second SNES game that I’ve ever bought, TMNT Tournament Fighters was the first. Beat it several times.
Why do you have to start at level 1 if you go back to your house? Were the devs afraid there's not enough content in the game, so they have to start you back at the beginning every time just so you don't see how little original stuff there is in the game? It didn't make sense so I never played this. I'd play it if someone made a romhack that adds much harder and deeper dungeons and monster variants so there's enough challenge that it doesn't have to artificially reset your level.
My ptsd is coming back after watching this video about the dreaded Goron Dance minigame from Zelda Oracle of Ages!

YESSS
I've heard that, aside the Sonic Paramount movies. SEGA haves the idea of making a Comix Zone, Space Channel 5 and Toejam & Earl movies, but that's the only thing i've knew since. If SEGA is still wanting to make movies of their other IP, damn, Ecco is the perfect fit. The melanchoy, dark, but beatiful world that haves would be more than perfect. Heck, maybe in that case the fable Ecco 3 would finally happen. It's unlikely to happen, but yeah, would be cool.
Always a classic channel!
For a game about a dolphin with star scars on his head, it's definitely got many, MANY disturbing moments. Ecco 1 & Ecco 2: Tides of Time, as well as the Defender of the Future has a LOT of Creepy Moments series material: Ecco 1: The waterspout/storm, the entire Vortex levels & music that goes with them, how Ecco defeats the Vortex Queen, the fact that Ecco can be eaten & digested alive by the Vortex Queen, & the fact she has already EATEN his pod beforehand, meaning if Ecco hadn't been there, or fast enough, they'd be digested by the Vortex Queen. Ecco 2: Fault Zone when Ecco loses his powers & can now drown, the entire Sea of Darkness level, the cutscene with the Vortex Queen curb-stomping the Asterite, Ecco potentially being eaten alive by the Vortex Queen (again) & going to that creepy level, nearly being ripped apart by your felliw dolphin allies in Fish City as a school of fish, & the bad future. Ecco: Defender of the Future: The Great White Shark boss that can instantly eat Ecco, the two giant eels in Four Ways of Mystery & Roaring Forces that can instantly eat Ecco. Then there's the bad futures: - Man's Nightmare (a dystopia where dolphins are slaves & have visible wounds on them, a baby dolphin being excited to do mining & they're possibly extinct in the wild & the ocean is full of pollution) - Dolphin's Nightmare (a future with literal N*zi Dolphins trying to kill off any dolphins that are different from them. Need I say more? No? Oh, they also use whales as batteries for machines & their bones as houses) - Domain of the For (the bad guys win & now the ocean is filled with parasitic aliens that can leech air from Ecco, & spit acid, there's a giant terrifying Foe Queen that will try to eat Ecco using her tongue, & the foe larvae in The Hatchery level can pretty much instantly kill Ecco if they jump out of the eggs. Oh, & the way Ecco kills the Foe Queen is disturbing, especially Seeds of Poison & Heart of the Foe...) Ecco: Defenders of the Future is home to a Creepy Time Limit series entry, too: Heart of the Foe, the final boss. If Ecco doesn't stop the Foe Queen's heart on time, he literally drowns in acidic red alien blood.
The second encounter I got in the Dino forest for the first time it was the brachiosaurus and it was so unexpected
